Breakfast takes place May 27 at 7:30 a.m. at the Pavilion Room at Northern Quest Resort & Casino
Eastern Washington University men's basketball coach Jim Hayford will be the featured speaker at the Spokane Youth Sports Association (SYSA) fundraising breakfast on May 27.
The breakfast helps support SYSA's commitment to youth sports where "Every Kid's a Star" and the belief that every child, no matter their skill level, should have the opportunity to play. Through individual and corporate support, SYSA can ensure these opportunities continue for our young athletes.
The 2015 Fundraising Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, May 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Pavilion Room at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. The public is invited to attend.
"The annual breakfast is a wonderful event, bringing together kids, parents, coaches, volunteers and leaders in the Spokane community to hear our mission and provides an avenue to raise the moneys needed to continue delivering youth sports programs," said Phil Helean, SYSA's Executive Director. "It's an honor to have Coach Hayford speak and share his insights and wisdom on how playing sports at a young age can help prepare kids for life through camaraderie, teamwork and striving to reach their goals."
Coach Hayford and the Eagles are coming off a successful year that included a regular season co-championship in the Big Sky Conference, a Coach of the Year selection, the Big Sky Conference Tournament title and entry into the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
SYSA is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization with the mission: To provide sports activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.
