After Winning Two Straight, Men’s Tennis Looks to Jump Start Big Sky Conference Play Versus Northern Colorado at Home

After picking up two straight victories over Whitworth and Spokane Community College and a week long bye, the Eastern Washington University men's tennis team will look to start its Big Sky Conference slate against a Northern Colorado team that made last year's BSC postseason tournament, on Friday, Feb. 20, at 2:00 p.m.

The match will feature free pizza for the first 80 fans to attend Friday's afternoon match, as well as a chance to win free taco coupons for sudden death points.

Eastern (2-4) most recently matched up against both Whitworth and Spokane CC in a home double header debut, earning 7-0 sweeps over both opponents in front of a large showing of fans. Several Eagle players had dominant performances, including wins from sophomore Robert Dula and junior Eduardo Bringold.

After matching up against UNC to start the weekend, EWU will then make a short road trip to face local foe Gonzaga in Spokane, on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 3:00 p.m.

Eastern has a 7-1 record when facing Northern Colorado, with the Eagles earning victories in seven out of the last eight meetings. Versus the local rival Bulldogs, EWU has played a number of back and forth matches, but has the slight advantage with a 36-27 record, winning four out of the last six games.
