Men’s Tennis Back at Home to Face League-Leading Montana State and Sacramento State

Cheney, Wash. – After a three game road trip, the Eastern Washington University men's tennis team comes back home to face current Big Sky Conference leader Montana State on Friday, Mar. 13, at 3:00 p.m., before matching up with Sacramento State on Satuday, Mar. 13, at 3:00 p.m.

Friday's match against the Bobcats will feature free pizza for early fans and opportunities to win free taco coupons for sudden death points.

Eastern (3-7), who is undefeated at home so far this season, hopes to bounce back after a recent three-game skid in which the Eagles faced Gonzaga, as well as BSC members Idaho State and Weber State. Most recently, in the matches against the Wildcats and Bengals, EWU saw juniors Eduardo Bringold and Luke Thompson, sophomore Robert Dula, and senior Stefan Farrar earn solid singles wins over their respective opponents. Additionally, the Eagles' pairings of Dula and junior Eduardo Martinez, and Bringold and junior Wacil Bendjelti, each found a doubles win.

Dula and Bringold lead Eastern so far this season in singles, combining for an overall 10-8 record between the two. In doubles, Dula and Martinez have earned the most victories for an overall record of 4-3.

Recently, Eastern and Montana State have traded wins back and forth with the Eagles picking up an additional two victories for a series record of 6-4 since 2007. Against Sacramento State, EWU will hope to get its first win over the Hornets since 2008.
