Cheney, Wash. – Looking for its sixth consecutive victory, the Easter Washington University women's basketball team welcomes Northern Arizona to Reese Court this Saturday, Feb. 21, for a Big Sky Conference game.
Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. PT.
Eastern (16-8, 9-4 BSC) continued its hot streak with a convincing 88-67 win over Southern Utah last Thursday, Feb. 19. The Eagles never trailed in the game as five players scored in double figures, led by junior Hayley Hodgins' game-high 19 points.
The win, coupled with Sacramento State's road setback at Northern Colorado, vaulted EWU into second place in the Big Sky standings and just 1.5 games back of league-leading Montana.
Northern Arizona (11-13, 7-6 BSC) enters Saturday's tilt on the heels of a 78-43 loss at Idaho last Thursday, Feb. 19. Despite the defeat, the Lumberjacks have been playing well of late, winning five of their previous six games before falling to the Vandals.
Erikka Banks leads NAU in scoring and rebounding with respective averages of 13.3 points and 9.1 boards per game. Raven Anderson (12.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg) and Brittani Lusain (10.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.2 apg) also average double figures for the Lumberjacks.
Northern Arizona leads the all-time series, 31-25, but the Eagles own a commanding 20-8 advantage at Reese Court. The two teams split last season's meetings with each team winning on their home court.
