Cheney, Wash. - The Eastern Washington University women's basketball team goes on the road for two games, taking on Cal State Fullerton on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. PST, and Wichita State on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 5:05 p.m. PST.
The Eagles (4-4) are coming off a close home victory against Utah Valley that ended 68-64, on Thursday, Dec. 3. Junior Ashli Payne recorded her first double-double of the season, scoring 16 points on 3-of-6 shooting from three-point range, while collecting 14 rebounds. Senior Hayley Hodgins led the team in scoring with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, while adding on six rebounds. Junior Tisha Phillips notched a career high eight assists to go along with her eight points.
Cal State Fullerton currently owns a 2-7 record, with their last game being a 51-86 loss against Montana.
